Same as the majority: Bama, Oregon, FSU, Buckeyes

I have no qualms if the committee or anyone wants to put MSU above us based on losses not wins. However, if you want to consider wins then you have to have the Buckeyes in the top 4 over MSU.

If you just look at the best win, I agree. But I think the top three wins are a wash for each team.

I think wins against Auburn, LSU, and Texas A&M can at least be said to be equal to wins over Michigan State, Minnesota and Maryland.

Now...the out of conference schedules is where OSU has the advantage...granted, nobody either team played OOC is any good, so what does that really tell us?

But what I think people could do is take your argument, and logically disagree that the wins make you have to put OSU over MSU, because they will likely argue it's a wash, and therefore the losses should break the tie. I think instead people need to break ALL the factors down...

Best win: advantage Ohio State
Worst loss: advantage MissSt
OOC SOS: advantage Ohio State
Overall SOS: MissSt (barely, will even out if we play a 10-2 Wisconsin)
Eye test: advantage Ohio State
Playing the best today: advantage Ohio State

Take it further in that we only are in the discussion of we win out so...

Conf championship: advantage Ohio State

So expanding on what you said...yes if we just focus on each teams loss...then yes, clear advantage to MissSt. But why do we want teams in this thing based on how they lost. The whole goal is to get the best four teams in. If you focus on the loss, then ur looking at that team at its worst. Shouldn't we be looking more at how the team usually plays, or even its best games...and compare that...since that's what we will expect in the playoff. If people look at that fairly, without bias...I think they have to give Ohio State the advantage. But unfortunately for Ohio State, all people want to do is compare losses without looking at the whole picture. Hopefully the committee will not do this and reward Ohio State for a tougher OOC SOS and winning the B1G, if that happens.

Are we really still pimping Aggy?
If everything goes according to plan [knock on wood], Ohio State should be looking at a top-10 win, a top-15 win, and a top-25 win.
None of those will be Maryland.

I don't have an issue with current rankings... but of the SEC teams you rattled off, none are top-10 and only 1 should be in the top-25.

Co-worker mentioned something to me an hour ago- said Tim Brando was on radio today-said something to the effect that the Bucks are under-rated. Allegedly said that he'd have Bucks in championship if they win out.

Wasn't the Bama/LSU rematch a bit of a stinker as far as comparing the National Championship TV ratings goes? Neither team is as good as those two were that year to begin with, but you would think they wouldn't want to touch a rematch in their playoff debut year unless they want to push it to 8 games (for more advertising slots) ASAP.

I'm not pimping aggy, but right now it's hard to say they are better than Maryland...and right now that's each teams third best wins. Just because aTm was clearly overrated to start the season doesn't mean they are an awful team. They are still top 40...along with Maryland I would say. I'm just saying it is equal. Also Minnesota won't be top 25 when the season ends...and we knew that. They are not THAT good.

If MissSt beats ole Miss, I think that is equal to us beating Wisconsin. Ole Miss was able to beat an LSU team that Wisconsin couldn't.

I'm just illustrating that each teams top wins are comparable...but our best win is better than theirs, and our OOC is better than theirs, and we still can win our conference...I think those three things outweigh who had the better loss.

The fact the VaTech beat Duke and Cincy beat E. Carolina and is getting top 25 votes helps too.

Cincy could easily win out and finish 9-3, and with their strong OOC schedule they might get enough love to crack top 25. VaTech should finish 7-5, and though not strong...not as weak as perceived a month ago. Navy also with a 7-5 finish very possible. In the end these three teams could look a lot stronger than any three OOC TCU, Baylor, or MissSt had. And those teams will be on the couch on Dec 6 while we beat the beat a top 15 team with the best RB in the country to win our conference outright.

I still think if we make these three weeks count, we can pass these teams. Lots of buzz surrounding us right now.
