If its that important to you, look up the 2002 Dayton city match play champion and you'll have your answer.
Show me one reputable golf reference (within the last 5 decades) that states the overlapping grip rotates the club more. Then I will gladly rescind my statement to you.
Locking or unlocking your fingers has no bearing on how you can pronate or suppinate your wrists, nor does it change your swing path, nor angle of approach (all factors in shaping golf shots).
Back on track
I tried the overlapping grip yesterday at the range, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I didn't feel like I had as much of a grip on the club and couldn't swing as hard as with the interlocking grip. The ball did seem to go a little more to the left with overlapping than it does with the interlocking grip. It might be something I'll continue to play with, but I don't see myself making a change.
Yes.
Thanks Thump - it is a terrific facility. So far this year has been our best in a long time. The shop is back under local ownership and the two owners (Tom Brock and Brian Larson) are two of the best people in the business.
I would not be in golf today if it wasn't for them. The Range has been there since 1986 and was there when Polaris didn't exist and the Range was considered out in BFE. Now it's the only greenspace left in Polaris and AFAIK it isn't going anywhere till 2012.
I might stop over and hit a few balls during lunch. It's a short drive. Thanks Thump - it is a terrific facility. So far this year has been our best in a long time. The shop is back under local ownership and the two owners (Tom Brock and Brian Larson) are two of the best people in the business.
