where'd you get your certification, USGTF? Just because you teach golf doesn't mean you know anything about it. 90% of pros don't know what they are talking about. regardless, I wasn't saying that interlocking or overlapping changes the shape of the shot (fade or draw). I was saying that interlocking can cause more of a flip through the hitting zone and overlapping can help a player hold the angle longer creating lag. BTW I played D1 golf so I know the rules of the game.

Maybe you should come to the outing on Saturday.

Mulligans are for girls and old people.

I've never used a mulligan in my life, even when I started golfing and shot in the 60's for 9 holes. My dad instilled in me playing by the rules.

Play it down, and every out of bounds isn't a lateral hazard. The score you shoot using a foot wedge or mulligan isn't even a true score so I don't know how you know how good of a golfer you really are?

Also, I HATE playing with people who use GIMMEE putts. Putt everything out. I've played with guys who have a 3-footer and just walk up and one-hand it, miss it, and count it as a make.

You don't know how good of a golfer you are if you don't follow the rules, but I know I'm not a good golfer so I don't really care. I do know that I'm getting better because I don't cheat as much as I used to, and I know how many holes my score was legit on. It isn't like I go around spouting off scores. I'm much more likely to say how I did on a hole or mention a good shot. I know that I am probably a 100-105 golfer on most of the courses that I play, and probably a lot worse on some harder courses. It's just fun to go out and play golf. If I took my handicap that seriously it wouldn't be as much fun.

i dont play by pga caliber strictness. but i dont brag about my handicap. i dont even know what it is. i play by the rules with the occasional rehit of the first tee. id say 25% of the time im rushed into stepping up and whacking away before im stretched and what not and then ill lay a second tee shot out there. not exactly by the rules but i play as a social thing and for fun. i had a stretch awhile ago where i didnt even keep score. i was really struggling with my ball strking and i played for maybe 3-4 months (i only play 2 times a month id say) without keeping score. sure its gay but i play golf to relax and have a good time. i put out andwhat not.

i will agree though people who birdie a hole and actually shot a snowman and claim the birdie need some help. but im not gonna lose any sleep over it.

:roll1:

(yes, i know that division 1 golfers are not necessarily pros nor will they be; you can be rest assured that i won't go after the logical and anecdotal problems of the second statement).

touche. i played with plenty of guys who didn't know the rules that well. i guess i should have said i know how to keep score.

Thump, I played at Wright State in Dayton. Not a top notch program by any means but we played in some pretty good tournaments.

What years did you play, I'd like to look up your stats.

What was your last name?
