Which baseball record will never be broken?

Extremely long odds but not impossible. 511 wins and 749 complete games will never, ever be approached much less broken.

The modern day record for wins is Greg Maddox with 355. It took him 23 years.

Gaylord Perry had 303 complete games. The 38 guys who had more finished their careers by 1965 or earlier.

A no hitter has been a no hitter since they started playing baseball. No one has ever thrown three in a row. Only one guy in the history of the game has ever thrown 2 in a row.

If you want to use the modern game to reinforce the wins and CG's then you have to do the same for no hitters. Hitters are too good and managers (GM's really) won't let anyone throw three straight complete game no hitters even if a pitcher could put himself in that position.

I agree that the W's and CG's could never be broken. Neither will Sam Crawford's 309 career triples or Vander Meer's two consecutive no hitters. Probably a few more I'm not thinking of but I lump them all together in the category of never be broken. It really isn't worth debating how infinitesimally small the chances of any one of those being broken are vs another one.
