You guys aren't putting enough effort into this.
The one baseball record that will never, ever be broken is Pop Snyder's record of 763 passed balls. Snyder played 930 games over 18 years (1873 to 1891), which means that he averaged 42.4 passed balls per season, and one passed ball every 1.2 games.
By way of comparison, the active leaders in passed balls are Yadier Molina (84 in 16 seasons, 5.25 per season) and Russell Martin (84 in 14 seasons, 6 per season).
Congrats to Pop Snyder for your enduring achievement - you will always be a legend!
It's not that hard, Jax. I haven't given up a major league hit in over 49 years.
Nobody will ever come within 100 games...
I don't see anyone breaking Nolan's record either.
I stand by my no hitter record.
Johnny VanDeMeer threw back to back no hitters.
Someone has to throw THREE CONSECUTIVE NO HITTERS to break that record.
Good fucking luck.
Doesn’t have to be a guy. Amanda from the Bad News Bears movie (the original) could do it.What are the chances of a pitcher facing the Reds 3 starts in a row? Because my money is on that fucking guy to do it.
4. Nolan Ryan's strikeout record: Although I said above that managers like to yank starters earlier, I think that a stud strikeout pitcher will get the benefit of the doubt and be left in a little longer. Plus, getting that extra inning or two rest every start could end up lengthening his career and actually improve his strikeouts-per-inning ratio because he can throw harder each game since he's not in quite as long.

Absolutely. The first one I always think of is the 56 game hitting streak by Joe D. Cy's record is unbeatable as well. Pitchers just don't pitch as much as they did back then to even come close to that record. I don't think we will ever see anyone hit over .400 again either.
