I am so happy we beat scUM but today made it clear to me changes are needed on the defensive side. The secondary is all time bad right now.

Everything. I'm not sure how Ohio State beats an accurate QB like Winston or McCarron. It could happen, but I don't know how. The defense seems to rely on receivers dropping balls, and if the QB and WR are on the same page, it's bad news.

- if you miss first tackle, what is the point of being in zone?

I saw Meatchicken using lots of misdirection and plays that allowed our aggressive D to over pursue and we made flailing arm tackle attempts. They settled down at start of second half and were more disciplined. Teams have seen the way to beat is is dink and dunk and hold on jet sweeps!

Powell got two huge turnovers today. He recovered Gardner's fumble and got the INT at the end of the game. Defensive MVP in my mind.

Don't know which D coordinator gets a bulk of the blame, so both deserve it equally, imo. Not a good statement that we deserve to be in the NC. We made gardner look like winston and johnny football rolled into one QB. After all tje talk of Gardner being so injured and beat up all season, he absolutely carved us up today. Happy for the win but shaking my head at the defense almost giving away the game

What defensive player takes responsibility for what is happening on the field? Who is the leader, play caller,etc? Its like all eleven are not playing together ..all year..? Talent aside we need a focal point for the D someone all 11 look to when things are going wrong.

This team as a whole wasn't mentally at the game for nearly the entire 1st half. That doesn't only fall on the defensive coordinators.
