I have a friend who's a serious movie memorabilia collector. I'll get texts at 11 O'Clock at night informing me that he's bidding on the shoe that Spiccoli banged against his head in Fast Times. He's not at the level of buying Steve McQueen's vehicles though.

It arrived today. Put the order in Thursday night, and it was delivered from London to Chicago two days later with no shipping charge. I finally own a Baracuta jacket, though I opted for suede instead of the classic waterproof cotton/poly. Yeah, we happy, Jules.

That's fucking amazing. But sad too. Sad in the fact that, at that value, you can never really use it as a dune buggy. It'll sit in some guys home car museum. I wonder if Seinfeld or Leno bought it.
