What's For Christmas Dinner?

I thought Burger Kings in Newark were closed on Christmas Day. However, I do know that the bars are open so it looks like it's just pretzels for you:)

You thought wrong.

I ended up going over to Children's and treating my mom to Christmas dinner at the hospital cafeteria.

Wasn't bad.

Not ORD, but I can tell you that goose is pretty fatty. It has less dark meat (proportionately) than a duck, which is essentially all dark meat; goose breast is darker than turkey breast but still a white meat.

Personally, I prefer duck to goose. But given the opportunity, I'd pick pheasant over all the above. :wink2: Pheasant is the tastiest bird I've ever had the pleasure of eating (other than ostrich, which is really more beef-like).

As for my Christmas dinner, it's whatever is being served at the retirement home. (Where my mother-in-law lives.)

Well, anybody but me ever had robin for dinner?

4 lbs of bbq, grilled turkey, turkey wings, ribeyes, racks of ribs, stewed beef, lasagna, stuffing, mac n cheese, potato salad, collards, corn, string beans, rice, tossed salad, and desserts.

PM me your address so I can fly down tomorrow and help you with those leftovers.

Not that we celebrate Christmas but last night we went ahead and had a spiral cut honey baked ham, scalloped potatoes with quattro formaggio, sausage walnut cornbread stuffing, Brussels sprouts au gratin and baked brie eu croute with cranberries, apricots, almonds and brandy for dessert.

Salmon Pie here at the house yesterday. It is an old French-Canadian tradition from my grandmother (Meme). The boys complained all day in anticipation while my wife continued the refrain "it is the only meal your dad requests throughout the entire year."

We are all alive today!
