What would classify this tournament as a success?

For the big dance, what do you guys feel would cout as a success?

Personally I think they should make it to the Elite 8. I think they could fact a tough Texas A&M team or a Memphis team which no one really knows about.

Granted that assumes we get past Xavier/BYU and Tenn/LBSU/Vir/Albany but I kind of expect us to win those games.

Meant to start this thread all week. I'd be happy going to the Elite 8, but at the same time still be disappointed that we didn't get to the Final Four.

bcs bowl
bcs bowl win
b10 title
national title

its hard to say i think realistic goals are important. what wooden was at ucla for a long time before he hung laundry in that hole they call the pavillion

I feel that the Big Ten Championships are the success. The Dance is for fun.

I have become greedy. In a few weeks ago I said Elite 8 now I say Final 4. I just winning the Big 10 tournament spoiled me.

I agree we had a successful season but I think we probably opened up a new set of goals when we got a #1 seed in the tourney.

Since we're the one seed and are very capable of beating everyone in our bracket, anything but the final 4 would be a disappointment to some degree.

Making it to the E8 could mean beating the 16-seed (a given) beating the 8/9 seed (a near given) and then just beating either a team we have already beat (tenn) or beating a team that has lost 2 of its last 4 to to non NCAA/NIT powerhouses Wake Forest and Miami (FL).

I can't say that I would consider this tourney a success just by beating teams we will be clearly favored to win.

With that said, knocking of a&m in San Antonio, Memphis, or whoever to make it to Atlanta has to be considered a success.

because of our draw, i say the F4. no one in our bracket should be able to match up with us and win. our road get interesting when we meet UNC/GT. once you get to that game, its a crapshoot
