What SEC team would you like to play AWAY?

Yes, but I have no particular disdain for LSU like I do the others on my list...however beating LSU at night down there would be arguably the biggest accomplishment.

Been there, done that... if it hadn't been for the refs stealing the game, prompting Earl to say, "Seven good old boys in striped shirts stole that game from us and allowed them to get the tie..."

Still, LSU hired Bo Rein, one of the guttsiest bukeyes to wear the scarlet and gray. How very sad that he died just as he was starting to bring the program back.... and Everybody's All American is one of the finest sports movies ever made, ranks up there with Bang the Drum Slowly...

Which SEC School Would You Want to Play?

So, let's say Ohio State is looking to add an SEC team to its schedule in the near future. In this scenario, you are the AD and get to choose which team to schedule. Who do you choose?

Florida - Payback is a bitch.

LSU - Ditto.

South Carolina - Make the ole Ball Crotch shut the fuck up, stop talking about tOSU, and go back to playing golf.

Or someone else?

First up on my list would be Tennessee - not somuch for payback (though long cleats and Citrus Bowl are remembered) more so because they are the most likely to travel. (And the return gig would be in a similar size of stadium - hosted by appropriately rabid fans).

I merged this with a thread from the summer of 2006. Since the last two title games, opinions may have changed regarding which SEC team people would like to see scheduled.

Ditto. That would be a fun series.

A premier opponent is a premier opponent, whether SEC or otherwise. Along those lines, a home-and-away with UF, LSU, Auburn, UGa, Bama, UTenn would all be very exciting, but no more so (and in some cases less so) than the premier out-of-conference games that OSU has lined up for the next several seasons. You'd be hard-pressed to beat the home-and-aways that OSU has scheduled with USC, Miami, Cal, Va Tech, and Oklahoma, despite all the pro-SEC chatter that goes on these days.

Auburn

My X is an alum.

Her parents will still happily get me great seats.

Kicking the shit out of the War Eagle Tiger billies would finally give me closure for the damn Hall of Fame Bowl that I never heard the end of during our marriage.

Going over to Brian Denney stadium and making it a two'fer whipping up on some some Oliphant Algal Bloom would be icing on the cake...even more so if I could have 15 minutes to take an ax handle to some of her good 'ole boy cousins out behind the wood shed.
