I have the same phone. Got it when I accidentally washed my old phone the day after Christmas. I'd rather have the iPhone, but they aren't gonna give me a plan for $20/month so I'm stuck with Sprint. It's not the best phone out there, but it's the best I can get for now.

What's your gripe with it?

To be honest I don't use it that much. I can type on it reasonably well, so I now send about 10 texts a month instead of 5. I like the threaded view for texts though, and visual voicemail. The GPS on it sucks, but it's come in pretty handy as an internet device a few times. The battery life on it has been pretty good for me. I don't mind that there's no Outlook support - it prevents me from bringing my work home - though I do wish I could view my calendar remotely from time to time.

I cant stand the Iphone. the touch screen is horrible, especially for the keyboard. Of course if it was the greatest phone ever, I'd still probably hate it, because it's Apple.

I have used it, the LG Vu, the Samsung Eternity, etc, and I can say that the Vu, Eternity and definitely the G1 are far and away better.

Keyboard was annoying for about a day until you get used to it, you have to hit slightly above the keys. Greatest phone ever.

I think the touch keyboard is very easy to use. It is so quick, you dont even have to hit the right key. It has the smart finish or whatever they call the function that automatically fixes your words for you. It is annoying when i say fuck shit and the like but it is great all other times.

Well in the Iphone's defense, I dont like any of the full touch screen phones. That is why I love the G1 and the HTC Fuze so much, because of the full qwerty. And again, in the Iphone's defense, if it werent made by apple, I prolly wouldnt exactly like it or anything, but wouldnt have a hate for it either :wink:

I definitely notice lag on my phone, but my battery life has been great.

Then again, my phones are always pretty lightly used. I only use about 300 mins. a month total, and do even less texting.

G1 baby.

I love it.

Bad news for whoever wanted the G2, though - leaked images show that they deleted the qwerty keyboard. Yikes. I'm going to milk this badboy for as long as I can.

Battery life is a travesty, though.
