What have you bought b/c of a commercial?

I like Krogers for the most part but when comparing their meat with Meijer's; Meijer's is just better. Krogers quality of beef is crap!

Olive Garden ads for the never ending pasta bowl, makes me want to go every time!

I think "sale advertising" is a bit differrnt than Gecko's selling car insurance.

As for you meat ad guys. Find a butcher.

Gatorade.

I bought the newer version of Gatorade (Endurance Formula?) when it came out because I saw the commercial for it, since it was supposedly created for endurance athletes (triathletes, etc.). Folanator's product is way better, though.

The only time I ever went out directly to by a product after seeing a commercial was when I saw a Big Mac commercial during a game, and right after the game I went to the McDonald's down the street to get one.

Agree.

I bought a pot roast there yesterday and it tasted like rubber compared to the last one I got from Meijer.

Meijer has a really good grocery selection. I shop at the one in Lancaster.

Carfagna's up on 161 has the best meats in Columbus I think.

The only infomercial I've ever been tempted to act on, is the somewhat recent flashlight ads - the one that takes no batteries - just shake it to charge it up, and voila! I think it charges with a sliding magnet, or something. The kinetic energy provides enough juice to run the LED.

They look pretty slick, but I haven't gotten one yet...

As far as regular ads, I can't specifically point to any time I saw an ad and ran out and bought a product, but surely some of my weak fast food craving moments are due to the hundred of ads I've seen.

I wouldn't have known about Esurance.com if not for the commercials. I shopped around all of the car insurance companies that I knew about and they came in lowest. Same with Allstate and my homeowners insurance.

Faraday flashlights.

Why not just get a rechargable flashlight that you plug in to the wall?

A lot brighter than the Faraday flashlight.
