I was using a Schick Quattro, then I got a free Schick Quattro Power in the mail, which takes the blades I already bought - so I'm using that for now.

Plus I use a Wahl trimmer for the facial hair.

Do you still have that big, grotesque beard from that pic that used to be in your profile of you and coach Tressel?

I use a Gillette safety razor. It is getting increasingly hard to find blades that are keen enough for this razor.

Just made the jump myself. I made the switch away from the chemical goo in a can to real british shaving cream and a badger brush a couple of years ago but still hung onto my Fusion. No more. I just made the switch to two vintage Gillettes that I bought on ebay--a 1956 regular and a 1960 adjustable.

Shaving is now actually something that I look forward to in the morning, turn on some tunes--this morning it was the soundtrack to Superfly--and treat myself to a real shave. The shave cream isn't nearly as expensive as it would seem since the tub will last close to a year, and it really lubricates your face instead of numbing it with menthol and chemicals like the crap out of a can.

I get a shave almost as smooth as my once a month straight razor shave at the barber, and blades cost me about 15 cents apiece when I buy them 100 at a time.

5 blades are better than 4 my ass. How long until these jackals start telling me that 6 blades are better than 5, and I'm an idiot if I don't switch over. Guess what: it turns out that 1 real blade is better than any amount of the overpriced cartridge gimmicks out there.

:shake:

My beard is much more 'kempt' this season. That year - 2003 I believe - I let it go wild like never before.

Honestly, I grew tired of having 'bed beard' in the morning.
