I did get tired of walking holes in my shoes in less than a year and picked up a pair of Allen Edmunds last fall. Will report back in a year when they've fallen apart at the seam like every other pair of shoes I own.

Well, when you walk holes in your Allen Edmunds, you can get them resoled. Take care of them, and you can be buried in them.

Got a new Samsung at Costco, but it included the extra 5 year warranty. Had an LG phone brick at 11 months, but at least the warranty still covered it. Pixil 2 died at 13 months and was SOL.

Stop me before I shine again. Bought these Oxblood Park Avenues last Winter and got to wear them about three or four times before the COVID hit, so I've been putting a perfect shine on them in anticipation of wearing them for my first post-COVID boozing night out.

Repurposed box that some wine came in is my shinebox.

I used to be loyal to Cole Haan shoes but have been moving my allegiances over to Allen Edmunds over the last 3 years or so. I bought a pair of A.E boots with the broughing that are so sharp I’ll have to go take a picture of them when I’m sober.

Agreed. Have been buying AE for the last 20 or so years. Best shoes I’ve ever owned. Have had multiple reconditioned over the years. Also have a shoulder brief / bag that I’ve had for only a couple of years but seems to be holding up as well as a late 80s / early 90s Coach brief.

Can’t say enough favorable things about AE.

Cole-Haan went to shit when Nike bought them and moved everything over to China and India. Today, they're over priced mall shoes. If you really want to go down the rabbit hole, look at the English brands like Crockett & Jones and Church's. I wouldn't mind having a pair just to see if they're that much better than AE, but since they never go on sale, I probably won't justify the splurge.

Yeah I know and I'd probably be blown away to see the real speed difference vs. the new generation Samsung's, but I've talked myself into this idea that I'll wait for the 'killer app' to come down the pike that will make this S5 obsolete, like holograms or some shit like that.

It hasn't happened yet. In fact, I've deleted more shit (like FB) off the phone than I've added from when I got it.

Also, to keep it real, I no longer 'need' an ass-kicker of a phone, I'm much more in front of a PC these days, so....
