Fifa 13 or Madden 13 that is the question. I need a sports game to play. I figure by the time Fifa comes out the verdict will be out on Madden as if it's going to be worth buying. NBA Live might also be a possibility.

It's all about patience in FIFA, if you do go with it. You can't expect to get on there and whoop the shit out of anyone. That being said, I definitely recommend it. There are plenty of different game modes to increase replay value even 8 months down the road after the release.

Ultimate Team- Where you can build your own squad with any player you want. It's all about finding the best prices on the Market and making profit off those same players. The more coin profit you gain, the better and better your squad gets. I believe Madden introduced UT on there, but I've heard it isn't half of what FIFA's UT is.

Virtual Pro- Create your own player, put him on a squad and progress through his career. You can also participate your created player in 11 on 11 Xbox Live squad matches.

Head 2 Head Seasons- Debuted last year, was a big success. Really changed the way you get a match in a 1v1 type Xbox game. Basically, you get 10 games every "season", you need to win so many games to amass a certain amount of points to move on to the next division. Pretty sure Division 10 is 10 points to advance, which is 3 wins and 1 draw out of 10 games.

Career Mode- Offline franchise mode where you can work the Transfer Windows to build up your favorite team.

There's more, but these game modes are the one's that I've really enjoyed.

Then, as if that's not convincing enough, there's this:

FIFA 12 becomes best selling sports game ever

That's the biggest selling point for me. NCAA becomes stale after a few months. I'm probably going to go with Fifa. I bought Fifa 11 when it was on sale last year and really didn't play it that much. I started out with be a pro and I think that was the wrong direction. I don't know much about soccer at all. Playing the computer is fine for me actually. Thanks!

If you like to play offline matches, give either Career Mode a try, or Virtual Pro a try. Actually, you can do a Career Mode with the team that you choose for your Virtual Pro which is pretty cool. After like 2 or 3 seasons with the club, I retired as a player and became full time manager where I hired (as AC Milan) Sergio Ramos, David Luiz, Ramires, Hulk, Schweinsteiger, Ronaldo, Neymar, Fernando Torres, etc. Needless to say, I was STACKED. It all depends on how well your season goes. Say you are a Serie A squad, you have 3 major titles to go for, the Champions Cup, the Italian Cup, and the Serie A league title. The more titles you win, the more money you get for player transfers and whatnot. Even the offline game mode will be a lot of fun, not only will you get better at the game, you'll get a better understanding of the game, and it will even help you prepare for online matches if you ever choose to do so.

I'm a huge manager mode fan in FIFA. Tons to be had there because you can change clubs, sign favorite players, etc. Oh and the fact that you don't just play "season games", but also have cups and titles to play for in the middle of the season, really adds excitement year after year. Plus if you can play on a difficulty that makes it hard for you, it makes it even more fun IMO.

SSX - plenty of fun, for a week or two. Hiding and collecting geotags adds to the value as a rental. Very reminiscent of the old versions, in a good way.

Max Payne 3 - by Rockstar, really captures the gritty feel of a dark comic, with camera angles, cutaways and freeze frames. the AI actually moves, flanks and attacks. It feels realistic rather than the typical carnival shooting gallery.

Brutally violent, over the top IMO. I love battle games but don't need to see heads and bodies exploding with blood.

Working my way through Assassins Creed Revelations, much like the last one. feels like a halfway house between 2 &3, but I got it for $20 and can trade it in for 16.50, so it is well worth that investment. Amazon still has it for sale for around 20ish.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier is up next as a rental.

Campaign/Co-op is amazing. Multiplayer..... not so much.

playing prototype 2 right now... Hate what they did to the upgrade system. A fun brainless button mashing kill fest to kill time before ac3.

on a side note. All this push for online gaming is really pissing me off. I dont play game to be social i play them to get away from people.

Counter-strike: Global Offensive on XBL marketplace is the best $15 you can spend in gaming.

This, I played a ton of Counter Strike Source on the p.c. a few years ago and had to buy it the day it came out on 360.

What's your gamertag we should get a party started one of these days?
