What are you currently watching on TV?

My wife had never seen any of Psych except for a few recent episodes, so we've been working through all six seasons on DVD for the past few weeks (we're near the end of season 4 now). It's funny to see BN27's comment, because re-watching them I feel it started out with such self-assurance and has been consistently strong through just about the whole run. The main 7-8 characters were so well-established from the start and the fun is in all their interactions with each other, and every episode has some great line that you can throw into conversation all week. (I did also think Season 6 dragged a little while watching it live, will be interesting to see if I like it better going straight through.) The guest stars are usually perfect, especially when they have the added allusiveness of being an 80/90s TV star.

I'm already looking forward to the musical episode & the CLUE tribute which were bumped back to S7.

The CLUE episode was one of my favorites. Shawn and Gus are masters at taking the repetition of a minor gag to its extreme, as they do with a particular word in that episode.

Psych is awesome. It's awesome for the same reasons that Community is awesome. Both are shows from people who love cheezy pop culture & wanted to satirize it in a fun, non-negative manner.

Don't take either too seriously. Both essentially just ongoing inside jokes.

You had me at Community. Never seen Psych except for on commercials, sounds like my kind of show.

I've been watching American Restoration. Hate the canned drama, want more in depth "how it's done" stuff so that I can critique and feel superior.

"Curt Smith of Tears for Fears" was perfection in the great episode Shawn 2.0:

Through the recommendation of a friend, I've gotten pretty into "Bar Rescue"

Anyone else enjoy this show? The man (John Taffer) can be an absolute loud mouth jackass, but he appears to really know how to make money in the bar industry.
