What are you currently watching on TV?

I didn't have HBO when it was actually airing, so it's been on my list for a while.......so we started watching the Wire on Amazon Prime. So far, it is excellent. (We are right up to the first season finale.) I cannot wait to see it and the second season premier...... It is definitely living up to the hype

Season 2 is really different from the first, as it expands its scope well beyond the Barksdale/Bell detail, and it can be a little slower-going at times, but it's worth the effort. Seasons 1 & 3 of The Wire are my favorite, but it was a great show all the way through.

We're nearing the end of season 3 now and I have to agree with you - season 2 was great, but so far, season 3 has been better. I cannot wait to see where this is all going......

Season 3 of The Wire was great. Gotta love Hamsterdam.

Favorite show on TV this year (other than the Bucks) is the same as last year.

Ultimate Survival Alaska on National Geographic Channel.

Season three started last Sunday at 9pm.

Best highlight of season two. Fantastic TV.

We're working through it rather quickly. We're halfway through season 5 now. So far, I would rank them 3,2,1,4,5. So far, I don't love season 5. The previous 4 seasons were all great though.

Finished up the Wire a few weeks ago. Really solid show. Not on the same level as the Sopranos or Breaking Bad, IMO.

Once we finished that one, we burnt through all five seasons of Six Feet Under. By the end of it, I was wishing all the characters would just die off (of course, I think that was kind of the point). Looking for suggestions as to what to watch now.......

Anyone else catch the first two episodes of Better Call Saul?

First episode was meh but to be expected as it's just starting out. Last night's was much better and I think it'll be something I enjoy.

One direction I don't think they need to go to is surrounding or building around Tuco. I think Nacho would be enough and Tuco (and in turn Hector and the twins) aren't really needed yet (past episode 2).

I did think Tuco was going to sever the leg(s) with the knife -- "Saw" style -- rather than break it.

One thing I kept wondering is if the show will make the Suzuki Esteem a cult car much like the Pontiac Aztek (from Breaking Bad).

With the announcement that Jon Stewart is leaving "The Daily Show", the logical move, I guess, would be to try to buy out John Oliver from his HBO contract (I don't even know if it's possible).

I tried watching Larry Wilmore's show a couple times but lost interest.

I guess there's Craig Ferguson or Craig Kilborn, but John Oliver seems like the right move.
