What are you currently watching on TV?

With the announcement that Jon Stewart is leaving "The Daily Show", the logical move, I guess, would be to try to buy out John Oliver from his HBO contract (I don't even know if it's possible).

I don't know if Oliver moving from HBO to CC would be a step up or not. I have no clue what HBO might be paying him now.

We started burning through Californication on Netflix. Decent show, but with some minor casting changes, I think it could have been a really good show. Duchovny was just not the right guy for that role, IMO. Actually, none of the acting is really great..... We're halfway through season 2 and I'm about ready for it to be over.

Watched about 2/3 of the snl 40th anniversary episode. Lots of fun flashbacks and an absurdly loaded crowd and cast. I appreciate that they stayed true to their formula with the absolutely horrendous Californians sketch, as you always have to sit through garbage to get to the good stuff. That said, that era's cast is the reason I'm dreading the Ghostbusters reboot.

Jeopardy was my fave.

Taylor Swift gave me douche chills with her performance.

I wished they would've had a flashback clip of Bill Murray interviewing Garrett Morris as Chico Escuela. I haven't seen that in a long time.

In my opinion, after Harold Ramis passed away, they should of let the series die with him. To me, having Chris Farley, Chris Rock, and Ben Stiller would have been a classic for Ghostbusters 3.

Modern family with the entire episode taking place on an iMac with facetime and social media :roll2:

That show has been declining fast for awhile now but that was a new low.

I'll have to respectfully disagree. I still enjoy the show and even though i'm not an Apple person at all, I thought it was clever and they managed to make it funny still. Mostly because Phil is the best dad ever.

I think the concept was interesting from a story telling perspective. I think having apple shoved down throat for the entire episode is pathetic.

Do people really use facetime anyway?

My fiance and her sisters/family do. I absolutely despise Apple so the only Apple product I own is an iPad that was purchased by my employer and all I use it for is internet browsing and work emails. I just liked the idea of them showing where we are today with technology and how we communicate among family and friends now days.
