1 week ago, i heard on espn by kirk herbsterit how osu will make it to the rose bowl(he said he is 99% sure), i was telling myself how can you say there is no chance for osu???when you are an osu alum, and you never give them any respect just like everyone else. well look at what is happening now!! i believe uconn will have to have two guys spying at all times, because wv's pass offence isnt too great!! and i think we will shove everything back in everyones face, if we were to make it to the national championship! and i pray to good that we play wv, because i just wanna kill them, i think we learned enough against mendenhall and williams to be able to stop slaton and white. we will be prepared, and the country will realize how good we are, even though we are so enexperienced!:oh:GO UCONN!

Wow, no respect for Ohio State on the WVU Rivals board. The posts run the gamut from "we'll blow them out by 4 TDs" to "Ohio State is not worthy to play us for the NC. I hope Kansas wins out."

When did a program that has never won a NC, never had a Heisman Trophy winner and hasn't beaten Ohio State since the 1800s become so arrogant?

That's just about every scout board. They're, for the most part, occupied by the dregs of each fanbase. Mainly 15 year old kids and the unemployed. I only visit scout sites for comic relief.

Let's face it, by any rational appraisal, there was no chance for Ohio State to make the title game. We needed 5 of 6 things to happen in three weeks.
  1. LSU lose
  2. Oklahoma lose
  3. Oregon lose
  4. Arizona State lose
  5. West Virginia lose
  6. Oklahoma beat the KU-Missouri winner in the B12 title game
The fact that four of those have already happened is a HUGE fluke.

While Herbie has, in my opinion, gone over the top with his Big Ten bashing in a lame attempt to distance himself from his equally ridiculous over hyping of Ohio State and Michigan last year, I don't want him to be a shameless shill for Ohio State. He's a national college football analyst and, as such, should try to show some objectivity. I'm far prouder having him associated with Ohio State than I would a homer clown like Holtz.

You should see my vbet record. It's beyond abyssmal. I think I've won one bet in the last 25 or so.

That said, I stand by my prediction on this game. WVU seriously deserves to play in a better conference.
