Weirdest thing you ever saw while driving

First time I drove accross state to WSU....

I was on Highway 26 east of Othello and I saw a couple of guys in hunter orange who were just off the highway. They were using M16s to pump a multitude of rounds into a wheat field. Whatever they were shooting at surely didn't have a chance! No doubt it wasn't very edible afterward.

#1. I was going down 19 south by the Meadows Racetrack here in S.W. Pa.
Out of the blue, a horse appeared in front of my car just missed it & it was snowing. I saw a man running with a lead chain so I knew it was safe to pick him up, I have horses as well!
He said the horse kept on not getting a qualifying time on the track(harness racing)so they turned him out & sure enough he popped the fence! He looked like a qualifier on the road! I helped him for an hour tracking this horse in the snow & I had my own to deal with! He thanked me! He had to stay till he found it,by then he had help coming. This was in 1986 very vivid to this day!
#2. We were going to Pittsburgh on I-79 North & i was just zoning around had a few drinks already & saw a grey object bouncing down the side of the hill! It took a few skips & I realized it was a big rock! Then it took a huge skip & I yelled get in the left lane to my husband he looked & switched lanes & before he could ask what my problem was it hit the tire of the truck & we had a bad blow out. Thank god when we switched lanes there was no traffic at all!
I forgot my cell phone,in 97' it was a big one then! I got a trucker to call the cops. This unmarked mustang comes rippin' over in 5 minutes flat,a unmarked Pa.state trooper, was not sure at first who he was! He climbed where about the "10 pound grey mortar chunk" flew from & said there was a pile of it so whether kids did it an animal stirred it loose we will never know! Had I never saw it & not moved that may have been through the windshield, through the side window, anything all which would have been worse than a flat tire!
I still have the chunk of mortar,I kept it to this day! How did I know that was the guilty chunk? When it happened I looked in my side mirror! I walked about where I thought, not far stopped pretty quick, seemed like forever though. The mortar has black rubber all over it & the only grey rock in the area!WHEW!:yow1:

Grossest: Coming back from the beach back in 1995 we passed by this station wagon - full family. Us in the fast lane, them in the "slow" lane. Pa behind the wheel. Ma in the bendch middle while one of their sons was leaning out of the front passenger window like a dog sometimes will.

All the rest of their kids (3 of them as I recall) were in the back seat.

Very hot day and Pa was not a believer in using that AC, no sir - natural ventilation was the order of the day, all windows wound down as they sped along at around 70.

Son number one isn't acting like a dog in the front seat - no he's as sick as a dog.

With all those windows open the puke just wheels right back into the rear of the wagon, decorating rear seat, rear windows passengers and all. You can see 2 of the kids in the back also start the up-chuck reflex. They swerve, damn near hitting us, so I put on the jets to get well in front of this pending disaster. As we are cruising away we thankfully see the Clampett's pull over to begin their in-flight detailing of the wagon.

The police raiding an anti-Apartheid protest in Soweto. I saw some of the anti-VietNam protests at Ohio State but this was a much different thing. I was visiting friends there when they bundled me quickly into a car to take off, saying the police were coming and would think I was an instigator of some kind.

The strange thing of it was the violence. The police were really knocking heads.

We were a street away and you would think we would have heard it, but there was a soccer game on and people were watching and I suppose it was loud enough that we did not hear the mayhem approaching.

Here we were on one street in Diepkloof Extension (an upmarket part of Soweto) sitting on lawn chairs and on the next street Apocalypse Now is going down. That image of peaceful street and war zone side-by-side remains vivid to me to this day.

i was part of it....

my dad drove his truck in reverse from east liverpool to lisbon (on rt. 11) b/c the transmission was all fucked up and wouldn't go into drive. Ford refused to tow it b/c it was out of the "red carpet service range". i followed behind him in my car with my hazard lights on, it was hysterically.

I saw a trucker taking a dump in the space between his cab and the trailer off the side of the highway.

I saw a dude (me) getting a hummer from his girlfriend one time too. ( used my rearview mirror to watch)

In high school... we were following two of my friends in their pickup truck.... while they were doing about 40-45 MPH one decided to climb from the cab to the bed of the truck via the passenger side window. Once in the bed of the truck he took off his clothes and fired a shotgun into the air.... we were driving in the back roads of Lorain County so no one was really around but it still disturbs me that I witnessed it.
