Weirdest thing you ever saw while driving

In high school... we were following two of my friends in their pickup truck.... while they were doing about 40-45 MPH one decided to climb from the cab to the bed of the truck via the passenger side window. Once in the bed of the truck he took off his clothes and fired a shotgun into the air.... we were driving in the back roads of Lorain County so no one was really around but it still disturbs me that I witnessed it.

Sure this wasn't Meigs county you were in?

  • I drove a truck locally for a couple of years right after college. If I did go out of town I was back the same day/night. Our hub was off of Roberts Road. It was about 4:30 or 5:00 pm- "rush hour." As I was heading north on 270 and getting over to exit on Roberts, I looked down and saw a lady buck-naked with her knees on the seat giving the driver oral while he was giving her a "reach-around."
  • Also on the job, I was on 70 west from Pittsburgh getting ready to hit 270 north returning from a night-long trip. I look down and some dude was looking up at me, beating his bone, on the way to work. I about threw up.
  • I saw a car cut off an 18-wheeler forcing the truck to lock up it's brakes and start tumbling down the highway.
  • Also on the way back from Pittsburgh, on a football Saturday in the morning, a girl in an OSU jersey showing me her personality. She was a very wholesome girl to say the least. it lasted about 4 or 5 minutes. Both of us just smiling the whole time. I appreciated her commitment to OSU football for sure.
There were a few other mammary flashes, accidents and weirdo sightings during that job. I guess when you drive that much it isn't as uncommon as others.

Back seat passenger on our way to do a job in Minny, just about to hit Chicago, (right before the Wendy's that goes over top the highway). We are going about 15mph due to pretty heavy traffic and bad weather. I wake up, look out the rear window, and see an older station wagon swerving across the lane and shoulder. The guy then steers right into the median, BAM! Hits it kinda hard. He then backs up, leaves his bumper and debris right on the median and keeps going. Needless to say, we got off at the Wendy's exit and stayed there for a few.

I also did a job outside of Park City Utah. I drove through a pass at night and they had the entire place lit up like day. There was guy in blaze orange coveralls standing in the road directing traffic. He waved me through. The next day when I got to the job I mentioned to the customer what had happened. I asked if they always worked on the roads at night. He told me they were not working on the roads. That pass had been having avalanche problems and that guy was watching to make sure it was safe for me to pass. I was much more attentive going home through that pass.

Not the old Park City avalanche prevention ghost story again. Jeez, if I had a nickle for every time I've heard that one...

I watched a jeep in front of us loose control and start to spin in circles down 71 going 65mph (the jeep wound up spinning off the side of the road and up a hill before it finally stopped... never did flip over, just spun, and spun, and spun)...

I also watched an F150 slam into the side of a volvo on 71... unfortunatly I was in the rear of the volvo when it happened :( ... it was icey and a friend lost control of the car. We slip around the highway until the pickup t-boned us...

Gee, if you were driving on I-10 in Arizona, I would have thought you saw me! I did that same thing in my Jeep -- I spun until I hit a wall and totaled it. :(

On the side of the road on I95 while driving to Carolina. Saw a station wagon with one of those pop-up campers. I have no idea how this happened, but the camper was jackknifed around and ON TOP of the station wagon! My brother was driving and we saw the people standing outside the station wagon just looking at it, and we both just started cracking up. Dont like to laugh at someone else's misfortune, but couldnt help it in this case.

Not while driving, but a couple years ago while we were in Bristol TN. for a NASCAR race we watched a pop up camper fall off its stabilizers and roll down a hill for about 500 feet. Most all of the campsites down there are on hills and there is not much flat area. These guys had their pop-up leveled out with a bunch of wood planks and a couple logs under the stabilizers. After it had rained a little it gave way. First it just started to roll, then the front wheel cocked sideways and it just rolled over. It probably went over at least 5 times. Luckily nobody was in the camper at the time, or under it, because it took out about 5 tents on the way down the hill. The guys using the camper were sitting right next to it at their camp fire, the looks on their faces was priceless. The next day, we saw their camper set up on the other side of the campground and they had pretty much just cut the top off and had the canvas propped up with the broken metal bars. Pure Tennessee
