Weirdest thing you ever saw while driving

i used to live on an old logging road. about a car and a half wide with young trees growing closs together on both sides dense enough so you could barely see into the woods and forming almost an arch above the road. it was about 2 am and i was taking my gf at the time home. she was being a very good gf at that particular moment . just up the road i saw a deer head mounted on a tree. which i thought was probably the most ignorant thing i had ever seen in my life. its bad enough having them hung in your house... but in a tree on the side of the road? i didn't think to much of it at the time as i was getting a little glassy-eyed. i got about 5 yrds from it, moving rather slowly, before i realized that while it was a deer's head... it was very much alive. just as my front bumper passed him he attempted to leap over my truck from about 4 yrds away. about midjump both he and i to our collective shock realized he wasn't going to make it. he lands inches from my truck then runs chest first into the front cornerpanel, his head landing on my hood. then very wiley coyote-ish, the side of his face slides (bottom lip dragging along the glass) up the windshield and over the cab. about 10 seconds later the gf pops her head up and asks, "what was that?" to which i replied "....... nothing" and pushed her head back down. only damage was a small dent on the front conerpanel.

Dang, lucky for you the bite reflex didn't kick in.

Once, while driving across North Park, in N. Central Colorado, I saw a hawk swoop down and pick up a snake. It took the snake a few hundred feet up and dropped. It was pretty bad ass to see the snake writhing in the hawk's talons.

Seems the best place to put this...I just received a parking ticket today in the amount of $0.00! I have an "A" pass on campus and one of the garages was full and I was running late, so I parked illegally in it. I returned this evening to see the ticket

reading these posts reminded me of two things I witnessed...

* was driving along the highway probably 70 mph... and saw a boat on a trailer hitch pass by on the left... all the way down into the ditch in the middle... broke loose from the car towing it.. exploded when it hit the bottom of the ditch
* was looking for homes when I moved here.. turned into a lot to turn around... and this monster turkey hawk was standing there... and would NOT move... I inched my car into him so he'd fly away... and he basically said 'screw you' .. his chest was at the top of my car hood... if I wasn't in the car, I would not have messed with this thing .. he had a carcas and he wasn't giving it up.. he moved... but did not fly away...
