Weirdest food you've ever eaten

Ate at a great place in Washington DC when I was freshly out of the Corps called the Insect Club. While it was mostly grasshoppers, ants, mealworms, and the like, it probably counts as one of my stranger dining experiences.

Had some pasta al nero di seppia, which was simply a squid ink sauce, at another place in DC on leave for my 21st birthday. That was fantastic.

I've had some interesting things at sushi bars, but don't really consider any of that weird or interesting.

But the "weirdest" food I've probably had was the omelet that came in some MREs in the late 80s and early 90s.

I refused to eat that omelette thing. I can't stand squid but I hear it's great when cooked in it's own ink. Might have to give it another try if I find a really good place for it.

That Insect Club place doesn't exist anymore I don't believe.
