Well, watching the "Who's In" college football show playoff show today, we're out. They all believe ACC and/or PAC 12 is ahead of us to get in. Some even think we might be 7th this week. Guess we'll wait and see but a 2 loss Stanford jumping us would piss me off for sure considering they got thoroughly blasted by Northwestern.
They're all fucking morons. There's no way in hell Stanford jumps us after they won on a game-ending FG and we ape-fucked the #10 team on their home field.

Lmao at the idea of the playoffs being: Iowa, UNC, Bama, Oklahoma.

The committee has got to be disgusted about the possibility of having to take UNC and/or Iowa. Talk about losing out on moneyour and viewership. At that point they better hope for an oklahoma/bama showdown.

Oh, god! Bama/SEC fans on that playoff arrangement...

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma
4. Iowa
5. Michigan State
6. Stanford
7. Ohio State
8. Florida State
9. UNC
10. ND

6 and 7, 9 and 10 are switchable I think

#1 plays #9 this week. With the weight of a Conf Championship Winner even with an upset is probably in. But maybe not.
#2 plays Top 20 Florida team. Win and they are in if the upset happens both teams are out.
#3 is in
#4 plays #5 winner is in 100% loser is out
#6 plays USC for Conf Title

IMO our only real shot is Bama and Stanford both losing. Clemson losing probably wouldn't hurt but TBH I think they could possibly stay ahead of us anyway.

I really hate to say this, but not only do I think we'll get passed over by UNC if UNC pulls the upset, but if Florida beats Alabama, I think it's a possibility that Stanford jumps us (assuming, of course, they beat USC). To remove any doubt, it sure would be nice for both Florida and USC to win this coming weekend.

The media love for Stanford this year has been amazing. I also think that USC will at least give them a tough game and quite possibly beat them. Regardless, I have nearly zero confidence in UF to make it matter.

I really don't get it. They make more excuses for Stanford than any other team in the country. The idea of OSU or MSU getting the same leeway as them is laughable.

Really, putting us behind Stanford? Maybe, MAYBE if they win the PAC in a dominating fashion, but that's a pretty big freaking maybe. I feel good about being in the #6 spot on Tuesday. Stanford beat top 6 team by 2 pts on a last minute field goal at home, and couldn't even cover the spread. We beat the living shit out of top 10 team in their house as underdogs. As a final, it's a good guess that we will finish at #5, and Stanford will finish at #6 and we will see them in the Rose Bowl. The selection for Rose goes 1: Winner of Pac/B1G championship, then 2: Highest rated non winner of Pac/B1G championship. We should be above Iowa or MSU in the final poll. Bama's not losing so all that matters is that we are ahead of Iowa or MSU. I will thoroughly enjoy playing Stanford. They play similar style to ttun, but with smaller linemen on both sides (but a significantly better RB and a tougher QB). We don't need to win the Big Ten every year, and I'm still satisfied from last years selection of trophys.

Well we are done IMO but it's ok... we benefited last year from the extra game so it's hard to now say it shouldn't matter.

We would be the best team in the top 4 IMO but not how it goes. UNC will jump us with a win and maybe Stanford as well. Which is horse shit considering they have 2 loses but what the fuck ever.

The point was suppose to be get the best FOUR teams not the four conference champs. A two loss Stanford team isn't better than a 1 loss UNC team or a 1 loss OSU.

and that is exactly what the playoff selection committee may very well do

You're reaching conclusions about things that haven't occurred yet. I believe we're one of the four best teams but when you lose at home to a back up QB you open the door to being left out of the tournament. But whether the committee puts Stanford ahead of us remains to be seen - I don't think that will happen. As for UNC, they have to beat Clemson first so we'll see how it goes.

If form holds we're out: Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Iowa/Sparty will be in the CFP and while we won't like it I don't see a legitimate rationale to claim we've been wronged.

Agreed. The way the playoff is set up now, it's difficult to see a circumstance in which an undefeated Power 5 ever gets left out. If that's the case, it's always going to be hard to [censored] too much about being left out; there is always something that your team could have done itself to have kept from being left out. Unfortunately, that's the case for us--the reason OSU will be left out (if it is) is highlighted above. It sucks big time, but it happened.
