Vince Young (unemployed)

I assume that the 75 were consumed by a group. That's like 5 entire bottles, and I don't care how big you are. You're reaching room temperature before you even get close to that.

While stationed in germany my buddy ordered 25 shots of tequilla the night his grandma died (he was an alcoholic long before this night) once he got to number 15 or so me and our other buddy decided we better save him from himself and started doing the shots with him to ensure he survived.

Can he not walk into just about anywhere in Texas and get a cush job, based on his UT legendary status alone?

6 on the Wonderlic. WTF is he going to do? He's too young to step into the high profile and exciting world of casino greeting. I guess sales of some sort but nothing technical and nothing where anything above being Vince is necessary.

Why doesn't he go play in Canada for a couple of years? Make some money. Hire real people to manage it. He pissed 26 million dollars away in five years. I seriously don't feel the slightest bit of pity for him.

Interesting enough there is some talk on the sports radio stations down here that the university owes him and need to give him some position in the athletic dept....

Don't recall the exact stats, but the divorce rate and Bankrupcty rate for NFL players far exceeds the norm.:(

True, but usually after two years or so of being out of the league.

VY was just drawing a paycheck for the Eagles 10 months ago, and assume he got some signing bonus with Buffalo. For him and Johnelle to be broke while still in the profession is mind-bottling.

Owes him for what. They created an entire major for him (that wasn't open to normal students) to keep him eligible. He played football, and they housed and fed him. There's only so much UT should do. Bringing him on would be a huge embarrassment to the school since everyone would know that he's essentially just an ncaa version of a casino greeter.

Look, there are a lot worse human beings in the NFL than Vince Young, but at some point the guy is going to have to start living his own life without everyone around him taking care of him.

Dont shoot the messenger :) Basically they (talking heads) credit VY for all the success from 04-09 including the title in 05... I agree completely with you on it, I just think its funny that people feel Texas owes him something.

They owed him an education.

Yeah, we're not talking about Archie here--a guy who earned a degree in Industrial Relations and then came back a decade later to work his way up the ladder in the university. They're talking about essentially using university money to bring him as some college version of a casino greeter.

BTW, wasn't critical of you AUTX, just the fools down there that think UT owes him anything.
