If VY didn't beat OSU, then nobody has ever beaten OSU. Cooper beat himself, not Biakabatuka. Does their team get no credit for defense either?
By the way, when does the official UT-tOSU discussion thread start?
I say we start Harris or Snead and go West Virginia spread option on everybody. Couldn't hurt. 60 runs and 15 passes, that sounds about right.
I have no problem with that opinion... however you didn't really express that viewpoint in the quote I responded to previouslySo you're saying we got beat by Young and not Texas. My point is we lost the game to Texas. Young did not single handedly beat us as he practically did vs. USC.
Obviously I'm not upset he's leaving. But it's a little disappointing to see everyone thinking we'd definitely get beat by them next September. Even with our young defense we're still better than USC's defense. Vince Young did not beat us this year..we beat ourselves. This is Ohio State. No matter how much talent we have leaving we'll always reload...especially at linebacker which will be our major loss. In 2002 we were ranked 3rd in rushing defense.
Lack of confidence in any freshman QB, whether at UT or not. Also, I saw what Pat White, as a true freshman, did in that offense. Third, I just flat out love the WVU offense. Is that a lack of confidence in Colt McCoy or confidence in the incoming freshmen? Or just a preference for a running offense?
Vince is a demi-god in Austin right now. It is said that his mucous can cure skin cancer. I don't think anyone here blames him for going early. Mildly upset, yes, but well-wishes all around. Also, what is the current perception of VY in Austin right now? Are they happy for him for the National Championship and Top 5 draft position, or is there some measure of hostility over the number of times he said that he would return for next year?

We knew he would reconsider entering the draft if he won the Rose Bowl. But I don't think anyone expected his draft stock to rise so much. I honestly believe he was sincere when he said he was coming back all those times. But he was saying that without going through what he just did and experienced. It's perfectly fine with me.
I think you're in itEngineerHorn said:You should all be very afrad. Colt McCoy is the second coming of Major Applewhite. And Jevan Snead is like a bigger, faster, stronger Alex Smith. And Sherrod Harris is Pat White's long lost twin brother, except he's smarter and more athletic.
At least that's what I keep telling myself.:(

Excellent question. Not sure but it couldn't come a moment too soon.
I'm confident either Colt McCoy or Jevan Snead will step up (Sherrod Harris is very smart and athletic - but likely needs to redshirt), but I don't think you can put too much pressure on a young QB. We'll have a good O-line, return all our RBs, and have a bunch of threats at WR. I smell a power run offense with mostly deep stuff in the passing game. Jamaal Charles from the I is a good place to start. Is that a lack of confidence in Colt McCoy or confidence in the incoming freshmen? Or just a preference for a running offense?
