Vidauntae "Soft Taco" CharLLLLton (SOFT TACO)

Just comes down to the fact that A) we are loaded at DE so we don't have a heavy need and can be picky with our offers and B) even Fickell and his staff didn't offer this kid when they would've had his tape for close to two years now. That tells me a lot.

I love the "early playing time" line.

The bottom line is that I hope they are also saying "if you earn playing time you will play early" as well. Could we not aruge that is the case at every school? The best will see action???

Also, if they are just promised to play early at one school with no strings attached, I would remind them that the same promise will be made in 2-3 to another HS kid and the one who will be missing playing time will be him at that point. Hence, if a coach will promise playing time to a HS kid over his own current players he will do it again and again.

Good luck to him. He was never going to get an Ohio State offer. If that's what he would have been waiting for, it's good that he pulled the trigger now while Michigan's class seems to be filling up quickly.

This could end up like Joe Bolden of last year .. who didn't get an offer till the last minute, as Taco's quickly climbing the ranks...

Another recent Michigan commit, outside linebacker/jumbo athlete Taco Charlton (Pickertington, Ohio/Central) moves up approximately 50 spots in our Top247- checking in just inside the top 100 at No. 99. After further review of his film and comparing that to his size and athleticism, we felt like Charlton has the type of upside that could not only make him a star in Ann Arbor but also land him in the National Football League one day.

I don't believe Ohio State ever offered Bolden.

Completely different cases as well IMO.

Bolden is a hell of a high school player, but I think the reason why he wasn't rated so high to start off because there were questions by some about his size/athletic ability. I know that Notre Dame didn't offer him until really late and they had missed out on others because they were concerned over those issues.

No concerns about Taco's size or athletic ability, think the concerns are more about his game.

I can't talk about those concerns about his game, I have never seen him play in person. I have seen his 6-7 min highlight reel that ScoutingOhio released a few weeks back, and well I love it, you can tell there is huge potential there.
