2021 VA OL Tristan Leigh (Clemson Verbal)

Aidan Leigh
  • POS: OT
  • HEIGHT: 6-4
  • WEIGHT: 225
In addition to Ohio State, he is listed as having offers from LSU and Maryland too per:
https://247sports.com/Player/Aidan-Leigh-46103318/

I'm wondering: Just how good is Aidan Leigh "projected" to be?

There's always a chance that the guy will turn out great when related that closely to a 5-star, but not every pair of brothers are Joey and Nick.

To put it in terms that older Buckeye fans can relate to: If you liken Tristan to Archie, the question becomes: Is Aidan then like Ray, or Duncan, or Keith?

On the radio back then (I didn't have a TV during that part of my childhood), when each brother came along they told us that the new Griffin "might be better than Archie". Even if you weren't alive back then, it should be obvious that it didn't roll out that way.

It may be a loaded question, but it's a fair question: Is this an offer based on a talented kid with good genes and a frame that looks like it could carry a lot more weight, or is this a package deal?

To be fair, Ray was an All American in 1977 ... still not Archie, but a very good player in his own right.

Keith played at Miami of Florida and somehow managed to win both a National Championship (1983) and a Super Bowl (1987 with the Washington Football Club) during an otherwise forgettable career.

Duncan is the answer to a trivia question, namely: Who was the third Griffin brother to play football at Ohio State?

Anyway, here's a photo of Ray (#44), Archie (#45), and Duncan (#46) sporting the scarlet and gray:

Thanks for spelling it out for those too young to remember. Asking if a younger brother is Ray, Duncan, or Keith is like asking if they're really good in their own right or just alright.

Bank has said for awhile now that that door has closed (inre: Leigh). But yesterday on Kirk Barton's podcast he said that may no longer be true if the recruits can get him and his family to attend Buckeye Bash. Guess it ain't over till it's over. We have to hope our committed guys can do a great job of selling him on ...
1. the closeness and unity they have
2. how mom and bro can travel 400 mi. to his games
a lot cheaper, safer, and maybe even quicker than
flying to N.O. or Ok.
3. How the Buckeyes are not going to backslide every
few years like LSU and Ok.this year.

Visit is on.

You would think that having OU and LSU stumbling out of the blocks should only help. If OSU stays in the National picture, which I fully expect them to do as long as we can get the majority of the season in, I could see the momentum swinging back in the good guys favor in this one.
You would think.
Crazy things have happened in recruiting. OSU better show up and show out on Oct 24
