Scissor lift jokes, seriously BP? Stay classy

Just got back from the game, definitely the weirdest game I've ever been to. First delay I've ever seen like this, amazingly everything was pretty smooth with the evacuations on both delays, although communication on the game restarting the 2nd time was non-existant. There weren't any ushers sitting at the gates the 2nd restart either, you could just mosey in, it was odd but understandable.

I come away feeling that Rees is the right choice for QB. He may not always make the right decisions, but he knows who his go-to guys are, he scores, and he's just a Sophomore. Crist made some poor decisions today that are similar to last year, and he's a Senior now. Not everything was Crist's fault by any means, I just think Tommy is in a better position to allow us to win some games.

I think Riddick should be moved back to RB too. He was moved from RB to WR when Kelly came in, trying to see if lightning would strike twice the way Golden Tate moved from RB to WR. I don't think Riddick has the catching ability to succeed, he didn't show me much last year outside of the MSU game, and I feel he'd be better served in our depth depleted backfield.

Speaking of backfield, Cierre Wood was a nice bright spot on offense. He racked up over 100 yards, mostly in the 1st half, which is a pretty big accomplishment for this offense considering running the ball is something we've forgotten how to do. Jonas Gray shares the carries with Cierre now, and he still has ball control problems it seems. It's something thats followed most of his career, and his fumble on the goal line was pretty costly. We pretty much lost all remaining momentum for the 1st half. This is another reason why I think Riddick would be better served back at RB.

Defense wasn't quite as good as they were at the end of last year, but they did hold South Florida to one TD while they were on the field and 3 Field Goals, which isn't too bad given the epic number of turnovers we had. Still, the one TD they gave up came after several stupid personal foul penalties allowed South Florida to advance the field for an easier score, they need to clean that up.

I give South Florida a lot of credit. Skip coaches a well disciplined team. They had few, if any, turnovers and very few penalties. The final score reflects that, they did the right things to win. I really was afraid of the high pre-season ranking, the team never lives up to the hype, they tend to do better in an underdog role...if they do well at all. September will be rough, and it won't get much easier after that. I have no idea if Kelly will keep Rees in, or switch back to Crist, but I think they should allow Rees to improve and take most the reps. I think Crist is best served as backup, he just doesn't look comfortable in the pocket as a Senior should.

Well it isn't our fault NoD kills kids in an effort to lose to Tulsa. If you want class, Kelly isn't your guy. Cursing at his players on national tv when you could tell they already felt terrible and had been trying their best. I understand being frustrated, but cmon. Respect is earned. And I'm fresh out of sympathy for him.

Don't mistake disdain and disgust in a sarcastic wrapper for thinking there was anything funny about that situation at all.

Sorry, just didn't think the sarcastic remarks were warranted either. Sullivan's parents were at the game today on the field, they took time out to recognize their loss. I don't think anyone at the game, his family included, would appreciate those words if they saw them.

They "took time out?" Very generous.

Tell you what... your school can quit causing deaths of kids through negligence, and our website will stop being sarcastic about it.

This.

If they had taken time out to pull him off the lift they wouldn't have had to be inconvenienced by putting them on the field before the game. I think the family would have taken the trade. Unbelievable.

And let's not forget the un-ivestigated alleged rape of an ND student, or a coach who left his job with a team in a BCS bowl game. The guy can rot in hell.

I heard their investigation revealed that lots of schools are using scissor lifts improperly.

Sorry, just don't give a fuck what you think was warranted. I think your coach being fired and brought up on charges was warranted, but I don't go on any ND boards and remind them their teams head coach should be a felon.

Is there anything better than Notre Dame being crappy year in and year out? It gets tougher and tougher to figure out who I want to see win the epic "Fallen Powers" clash between Michigan and Notre Lame.
