disaster?

From what I am listening on the radio...a L.A sports station..it seems like this is going to be a big scandal...one player has been alleged for sure(widely speculated that it is herschel dennis) but more players might be involved in this..going to be a long week for USC fans..not good for college football

There are some very fine USC posters on this board, and I feel badly for them. I also feel badly for college football in general, and - as grad21 said - for a society that continues to fail its youth (and vice versa).

That said, after the treatment and comments we all went through following MoC, DUIs, LI, et al - well, that crap still smarts.

Welcome to the limelight USC.

And, I have to admit, that I only thought in passing to add that I feel badly for any young lady that is assaulted.

What a shame if this is all true. Just when USC had really gotten everything aligned in their favor this happens, much like the Clarett situation last season to us. It is a damn shame that kids are fucking up this bad these days, I wish that they would use their head *not the one that seems to get college kids in trouble*.

I gotta tell you, and be honest, that when I first read it I said "better you than us" !? I'm tired of the negative OSU stuff, the Jim Rome crap, the pathetic sports reporters, the ny times... et al.

Maybe now that trouble has brewed significantly in USuCk land, Jim Rome can put his foot in his mouth and chew on it for awhile.... geez I guess Petey is running just as bad a program as Jim is ...eh Romey? what a tool.

One other thought - due to all the we are national champs (even though you aren't lol), we are the greatest.. yada yada.... pushing your chests out, I wouldn't be surprised that people are all over USC for this. Everyone wants to see the top dogs fall.

I feel bad not for your team or for your players or for your fans. NONE of them. I feel bad for the VICTIM!! and that is how it should be. I call em like I see em.. a spade is a spade. What we need to do here is not be worried about offending USC posters, but worried that justice prevails and this young woman(?) is ok.

If the person accused is gulity - they should cut his scrotum off.
If he is innocent - he should be relieved of all this attention.

Think about the woman first, not the posters and not offending some people over here from USC boards.

The stupidity of kids these days amazes me. I can't imagine have the talent of a D1 football player and doing something so stupid. What a waste. It is out of control anymore. All you seem to read about are stories like this one, Marco Cooper, Vick, Irizarry/Guilford, Ray Williams, etc.

Redgardless if you like Rome or not, you have to admit that he doesn't discriminate. ANYONE who screws up is going to hear it. It doesn't matter if they're a Buckeye or a Trojan. Listen today and I'm 99.99% positive he'll smack on USC.

I hate this kind of news. All it does is reflect poorly on college football. A good friend of mine is anti-NCAA football and thinks all the elite young FB talent should be in some sort of NFL minor-league farm system. Everytime some jock thinks with his #*@%, he gets more fuel for his argument.

Regardless, my thoughts and prayers are with the victim.
