US Open Playoff (revised)

2 things:

1) Is the pain in the knee also possibly new damage he's doing to it?

2) Will he be ready for the British Open after all the pressure he's putting on that leg?

Thump, it depends on how much cartilage they removed.

The usual thing you avoid after arthroscopy is undue pressure on the knee. Sports like basketball or long-distance running channel multiples of normal body weight through the knee due to the nature of contact with the ground and the dispersion of energy.

Golf and walking don't cause him to put incredible pressure on the knee in that way, but he may be picking up lots of swelling after walking nearly 8km (5 miles) around the course and putting so much torque on it during each swing.

My guess is that this is no problem, provided that he is icing, elevating, and seeking his wife's help to get through the pain. That's the story I gave my wife, anyway, and I'm sticking to it.

Wow, Tiger finally misses a putt and it's tied with 4 holes left!

Come on, Rocco. You'll never have a better chance than this one.

you mean tiger's going to win a major because somebody else blew it? i've read that script before somewhere.....

Actually, it's generally a bunch of someone elses. But your point is well taken. Why are the other pro golfers so mentally weak that they wilt at the sight of Tiger Woods?

... maybe Tiger is just that mentally strong that he uses the Jedi mindtrick on their balls.
