Sounds like there could be a lot of survivors, thankfully.

I found out shortly after the landing that a former coworker of mine was on the flight and was ok. It amazes me that no one was killed in something like this.

A survivor is saying that people just left from the wing of the plane onto rafts and boats, and that he thinks everyone got off the plane.

Were they greeted by personal injury lawyers when they got to shore?

so i left my house at 4 and got into the city around 415. i walked past a store that had a TV in the window and saw the plane in the water. i saw that it was from LGA so i assumed it was in the water on the other side of manhattan (long island sound maybe?). i was just looking at pictures a few minutes ago and saw a jersey city skyscraper in the background that is about a half mile from my house. i couldn't believe it. i barely missed it. sounds like the pilot pulled a pretty ballsy move and saved a bunch of lives in the process. kudos!
