IMO, this may not be popular but I would go with Urban. The thing that bothered me was that his track record of hiring some pretty bad assistants. But his record was pretty darned good. Fick just seems a little green and needs some more time.

Legit don’t know what people see in Fickell. I get constantly told any idiot can win 10 or 11 games with OSU’s talent yet Fick coached OSU to its worst record in 100 years or some shit. Even with the circumstances, you’d think he could’ve gotten them to over .500 record. The same squad Urban coached to an undefeated record the next year.

Urban’s program felt like it was teetering on the edge of a cliff after the beating in 2016. 2018 easily felt like they could’ve been a .500 team if certain breaks didn’t go their way. Not sure how much juice Urban has left. Quite frankly I‘m not even sure Urban beats any of these Michigan squads the last three years. They’re way better in the trenches than they used to be.

It’s hard for me because I think Fick has it. He’s proven he can build a program and he is much younger.

But Urban has the rings and could be motivated by exercising his owns demons and young enough to do it again.

Truly a tough call to me.

You are taking 1 interim year and judging Fick on that?

He took a Cincy team to an undefeated season and playoff appearance.

And he ALREADY is making his mark at Wiscy. I’m shocked you don’t see that honestly.

Stepping in as an interim to stop the bleeding is tough man.

Urban isn't coming back. He's got his trophies and a good paying gig just talking about football.

The only option is Fickell, who is still working on his legacy and would jump at a chance to coach OSU. He got the fucking Juggalos into the CFP. 2011 was a long time ago. He's earned his coaching stripes since then.

Yes because I get told, ad nauseam, anyone can win 10 games a year with OSUs talent advantage.

The Cincy playoff berth is his only impressive accomplishment.

How is he making his mark at Wisconsin? By coaching them to the exact same they had last year?
