Been kick'in this thought around in my head since last sunday. The way I see it, Coach Tress is probably good for about 10-12 more years here. I believe he's about 57 right now, and that would take him to damn near 70. I don't see him as a Jo-Pa who'll prowl the sidelines forever.
That being said, I look at Meyer and see him as the perfect fit to replace JT when he retires. Meyer would be about 52-54 years old at that time, and I'm sure he'll have a great resume (hopefully NOT a 2006 NC) that would make him a very attractive candidate for the job. His roots are strong here in NEO, plus he's a hard-ass but in a fair way. The guy has proven that's he's a winner, a strong recruiter, and his value system is spot-on. I'd take this guy in a heartbeat when JT decides to hang'em up.
