Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

Personally, I think this thread is too focused on the issues surrounding the matter with the lady. It's not necessarily what he did that night that is the issue. He'll have to deal with that in his own time, and that's none of my business. Do I think it was stupid? Yes. Do others do it? Yes. It's still stupid, especially when you're probably one of the most recognizable coaches in the country.

My issue is what he's continued to do since taking over in Jacksonville, leading up to that point where he was elbow deep in some chick his daughter's age. Urban has shown absolutely terrible judgement. There was the issue with the strength coach. He got his team fined a pretty large sum in the preseason for breaking practice rules. He didn't fly back with the team and was seen dicking around (pun intended) at his own bar instead. He cancelled his Monday meetings after a loss, and didn't address everyone as a team until he was eviscerated in the media for it. His players laughed him out of the room when he explained the situation. His boss called him out publicly. There are rumors in the facility that Urban thinks they're trying to get him on cause. There were all sorts of meetings this week, and many were unrelated to the Titans. (I can find a link for that, if needed) The situation seems pretty toxic. Lawrence is having to answer questions about whether or not he respects his head coach.

He's in week four of his first season. Unacceptable conduct from someone trying to prove he is a leader with strong personal and family values. I'm not rooting against the guy.. just don't understand how people can't see how he bad he's fucked up. There are too many examples to point to that indicate he he might have never had the program under control to begin with, but it's definitely off the rails now.

I don't know if the young lady deserves the backlash that she is getting, but I can certainly see why her employer would want to ask some questions and potentially distance themselves from her. I'll admit, I don't know what her company does, or what kind of work they do for Urban's restaurant/bar, and I also do not know what kind of involvement Urban has in the day-to-day operations or decision-making for things like marketing and whatnot.

That said, if it were my company, and she was screwing a sales rep for discounts on paper and gift certificates to steak houses, it would be something I'd want to know about.
