Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

You won’t be sad if he calls it quits because we have one shitty loss a year? Whew this is an entitled bunch. You don’t deserve Meyer, you deserve RichRod.

Well the bad losses combined with the Zach Smith fiasco. I also get the impression (my opinion) he doesn’t seem to want to be here and checked out. Maybe it’s more he doesn’t want to be at the press conferences.

Instead of RR can I have Day instead? Another reason I wouldn’t be sad as have faith he’s the next up and comer.

I’m still rooting for Urban and hope he’s able to stay on many more years especially if can keep his streak against TSUN. If he leaves though I’m optimistic for the future because I have a sense of entitlement being both an alumnus and a fan of the greatest University in the world.

That I will give you. But, can you freaking blame him? Lied about and crucified all summer long and when the result of that fiasco ends, not a single person who villified him came back and said, ya know maybe it wasnt Urban's fault. He wants to win at least as badly as any player or fan, probably more so when we look like shit it's a serious gut punch. Take a breath. As long as he's healthy, he's not going anywhere.

In case some of you do not know like I did not know here is what I have found.
This is the type of cyst that Urban is dealing with..

An arachnoid cyst is a type of brain cyst that forms due to the splitting of the arachnoid membrane, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine. It is a fluid-filled sac that appears in the tissues covering the central nervous system.

The symptoms of arachnoid cysts vary depending on its location, notes Johns Hopkins Medicine. This includes headache, nausea, lethargy, seizures, mass protrusion in the skull and visual impairment. Patients undergo CT or MRI scans to determine the necessary treatment option such as craniotomy, minimally invasive endoscopic fenestration, burr hole drainage of the cyst and shunting. Cysts that do not cause symptoms or affect surrounding areas do not require treatment.

It was difficult to pull quotes from Meyer about what has gone on, but several things became clear through the course of a conversation in which Meyer didn't want to overplay or underplay what is happening with him.

1. His condition is serious.

2. He has managed his health since the 2014 surgery, and these days that includes daily medication. The Buckeyes won the national title 10 months after his first surgery and are 56-7 in the five seasons since the surgery.

3. As with many medical conditions, the issue with his cyst is incurable and progressive. It has been managed by medication and that 2014 surgery, and Meyer may at some point have other treatment options to consider.

4. Ohio State is his dream job, and he has no desire leave it.

"I am fully committed to Ohio State and the football program for as long I can," Meyer said.

Sooooo.....he’s leaving right? Lol. Meanwhile outside the castle gates, the torches and pitchforks want his head for losing a game each year.
I think you are missing a big point. Urban has a cyst inside his head. That can lead to pretty serious health problems down the road. If he does leave, it is not going to be because he loses one or two football games a season but due to his health. A cyst in the head is no small medical condition.

That isn’t lost on me at all. Urban can and should leave whenever he damn well wants to. I don’t believe that is next year and he is suggesting much the same. My post is a clap back at the folks calling for his head because of some perceived embarrassment of tOSU because 1) some notion that he should have handled a domestic situation better or 2) he loses a game or 2 each year.

Arachnoid cysts are not malignant. They are treatable. Essentially, it is fluid build up and it can be drained to relieve the pressure and resulting headaches. Ohio State has excellent facilities and he will be fine. He's had this his entire life.
