I don't know why you guys knock on Matt Leinart so bad. The guy has 2 national championships and a Heisman trophy. He should be in the NFL this year making millions. And throughout most of it, he has acted with mostly class. You guys act like he's Marcus Vick.







I have no idea why, but I have a deep gut feeling that makes me want to hate Texas almost as much as scUM. Maybe its because everyone loves Texas (atleast around here), yet they whine about not getting respect. Maybe its because I had a whole off-season of preparing for our game against Texas and getting my hate-o-meter on full blast. Maybe its Mack Brown. Maybe its the gay "hook 'em" thing. I don't know. Vince Young is an awesome player, but i just can not stand Texas. Period.

I don't think many if any said the Lienart sucks, and doesn't have an NFL shot, or didn't win 1.5 championships and win a Heisman. I think people aer saying he handled losing as gracefully as Lloyd Carr.

Texas earned their respect on this board, far as I'm concerned. Texas had every right to "whine" about not getting respect nationally... or did you not see the "USC is the greatest of all time" bullshit we had to endure for a month?

please... VY was not stopped at all on that drive. A review would have just delayed the inevitable.

The interception-fumble that was not reviewed was a much bigger play. Texas would have had the ball past midfield with 2 min left... instead USC went down the field, scored a FG, and ended the half with no chance for VY to score before halftime.

Everyone just got tired of hearing how USC is the greatest ever, I think. I have no real love for Texas, but this reminds a lot of people of 2002, when no one gave us a chance either and ESPN overhyped Miami like they could beat the 67 Packers, I mean Ray Nitschke couldn't even have started for 2002 Miami, so I at least was pulling for someone to shut them all the hell up. I don't care about Whinert one way or another...but I don't think too many people think that returning for a senior year to play on a juggernaut while having your pick of SoCali co-eds is exactly like joining the Marines.

I'd like to think that OSU could beat Texas at this point in the year... but you know what? Tonight, like the night at PSU.. one team wouldn't be beat, and tonight that team is Texas.

If anyone is listening to Leinhart on ESPN, he is so arrogant.

He is making little comments the whole time, about how they ran all over them and did what ever they want and blah blah blah.

They didnt do it when they needed it on 4th down.

Correct you are.

There were bad calls both ways.. It happens. And no one should blame the TD when VY was down for why USC lost. USC gave up 550 other yards.

It's like the overplayed commercial says "If everything turned out the way it was supposed to, then why would we play?"

Or something like that. Crap, overplayed and I still can't remember it :!

I second the heisman thing, wait until the season is over before you vote for the best player; i think a lot of votes would of come over to VY side. I know you want to interview somebody from USC eventually but come on, the first two people they talk to is petey and leinart, give me a break. I want to hear from somebody from TEXAS before anybody from the losing team. USC wins one legit national championship GAME in a row (remember LSU won it the year before) and everybody wants to annoint them the greatest ever. I hope VY comes out early cause it's gonna be scary facing them in texas without our awesome trio of linebackers to keep him in check. Dont know about you but wife and I were cheering almost as hard for Texas at the end of the game as if it was the Buckeyes goint down and scoring on that last drive. GRATS HORNS.

I still can't believe that the defensive genius, Pete Carroll, had a month to devise a scheme to slow down Young and that's the best he came up with. Pathetic. What is it with these geniuses and their month long gameplans? :biggrin:
