94% of incoming OSU freshmen had a 24 or better on their ACT, while that was the average score at UC, in what was regarded as a very good incoming class for them.

94% is to be commended...80% at 26 or higher is also to be commended.
24% 'average' could be misleading considering the minimum ACT score required for admission to main campus is 22. Don't forget that students who are below this are sent to UC's satellite 'Associate' colleges and also count in the admission statistics.

Again, to say UC is below par based on hatred for their fans and an out of date US News report is laughable...yet, I'm not the one bitching about straw man arguments. :)

I think that says more about the type of students applying to OSU than it actually says about the minimum requirements. Again, I'm not saying UC is better than OSU. I am saying that UC and OSU have simillar minimum requirements and that UC does, in fact, have programs that are world renown and for one idiot to make a statement that UC is a 'poor' academic institution without stating any facts and only comparring it to schools that are better is foolish, ignorant and flat out stupid.
