Uniforms (Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, etc....)

I don't not like them. But until I saw the Arizona State, I didn't know who the hell it was. Isn't that the opposite of what brand recognition is supposed to be about?
Shhhhh, don't let anyone know I said this, but that was the strength of Michigan's uniforms and helmets until they let Addidas screw around with an instantly recognized design. It was also a strength of Ohio State from 1968 on until Nike decided they needed faux "salute" unis.

Isn't a part of the uniform's role to connect to the tradition of the school? Like maybe the school's colors? You like copper and black? Fine, change the school colors to copper and black. Otherwise you're saying, "we have no history, no tradition."

The copper in the uniform is an homage to Arizona's state history and the PT-42 on the helmet is a salute to the late Pat Tillman. So it's not like a random uniform was slapped together. It's Arizona State, of course they don't have much awesome tradition, and any tradition they do have definitely doesn't revolve around the uniforms.

Not bad, IMO.

Actually, I thought the uniforms that they wore back in 1996 were pretty iconic. Ever since then, they've been on a slow downward spiral, IMO.

Yeah, not a big fan of the Shamrock Series uniform for Purdue. Looks a lot like Pitt's uniform. You can't see it well in that picture, but they added mosaic on the shoulders. It doesn't look very good. I guess they wanted to make the helmets match the dome more with the crossing lines, and the mosaic on the shoulders matches the tile floor beneath the dome. Doesn't translate well to a jersey.

The normal home/away uniforms from UA for this year looks almost identical to the ones from Adidas the last few years. They're pretty clean and nothing busy about them.

Tough crowd. I think ND's new Under Armor threads look good (yes, even the Shamrock Series alternate).

Considering what UA has done to Maryland, when ND signed the deal and left Adidas I was half-expecting the helmets to have a mural of Jesus on them.
