NEWBERG, Ore. -- Drew Gereb was just a 37-year-old Oregon State grad with a colorful softball mask and a crazy dream when he pointed his Dodge Ram pickup south from Portland -- alone, uninvited and unannounced -- toward Corvallis and the OSU athletic offices on a Friday afternoon in March 2008.

He landed in the doorway of Steve McCoy, the Beavers' longtime director of equipment operations, who recalls meeting Gereb with equal parts annoyance and curiosity.

New Adidas uniforms for the Irish for the "Shamrock Series" ASU game. Word is traditionalists still don't like these one game uniforms, although this iteration has less distaste than last year's. Students and players/recruits really like the look. I'm not sure about the sock\shoe combo myself:

[EDIT] Looks better I think when it's on a player. I like the helmet much more than last year's Shamrock Series split look:

That would look pretty sick. Reflective silver helmet instead of the gold maybe? "Silver Bullets"

ND should never screw with their helmet. Stick with the traditional gold paint & lose the ridiculous mylar sticker. Green face mask...fine whatever, but don't ruin your important traditions for the sake of corporate whoring.

Still I have to admit I'm enjoying the hypocricy of the school that screams "No conference in football! Tradition! Tradition!!! TRADITION!!!!" throwing away tradition for the opportunity to get on all fours and scoop up some loose change that Adidas threw their way.
