I have literally NEVER seen an amateur mock-up of a uniform that wasn't a butt-ugly, horrible idea.

Arguably our best era ('68-'77) was with the older gray stripes. Our current jersey looks nearly identical to Wisconsin's and Nebraska's.

I've read the Wisconsin/Nebraska line too many times to count and yet I've never seen any black stripes on their uniforms (the Huskers appear ready to break that trend with those ugly as fuck things earlier in this thread). Our sleeve stripes match those on our pants and helmets. That's uniformity.

Frankly, I can live with either jersey. I just get a kick out of the hand-wringing over the loss of the gray stripes.

The Nebraska uni had to get approved by Dr. Tom, so I think this was probably the most bland, vanilla design they came up with.

Personally, if we're going to have an alternate uniform, I'd prefer to see them do something along the theme of the Blackshirts, an homage to our defense.

These seem like a half-assed attempt to placate our fans who have been clamoring for an alt uniform for the last few years, almost done poorly on purpose so they'll stop asking for another one.
