UF OL Ronnie "Taz" Wilson (official thread)

and now the 2002 recruiting class has a National Championship Ring, Big Ten Championship, won 2 BCS Bowls and has won more games than any other team in college football....this in the 2 years Derek missed out on.....with more to come, so JT knows what he is talking about......
Further, Derek didn't suit up at NCSU in '02 anyway, then didn't earn many reps in '03 (you may recall he didn't even travel to C-bus for the game w/ OSU) and mostly rode the bench, and is now seeing limited reps while nursing an ankle injury.

Maybe Derek will see better days, but if he is bitter about how his college career has gone to date it is easy to see why. Lot of tough moments for the young man.

It was not my intent to "put him down". I was just pointing out that if Derek has a chip on his shoulder I can understand why. It has been a long and rocky road for him.

That said, I was not happy that his father decided to take his disagreements with OSU public. It wasn't necessary, and I don't think anyone "benefited" from the public spat, least of all Derek. Shame it ever happened, lot of mud seemed to fly at both sides.

Sorry to hijack the thread, back to Taz.

TAZ,

Please update us on your season. How did you like the recruiting trip? When
will you make the next official visit? Did you watch the buckeyes O-LIne play against the Wolfpack. You can see how nicely you would fit in....OSU needs a
powerful linemen to run behind to start making those 3rd down's with 1 yard to go. Give us an update when you get a chance....

Good Luck !!!

Well we are currently 1-2 we lost 2 in a row but we just got to pull to together as a team. I had a great time at N.C. State and yes i saw the O-line and they did a good job.
Sorry to hear about the two setbacks. I have no doubt you guys will right the ship and run off a few wins. Good luck the rest of the season, Taz. See you on 11/20 in the 'Shoe.

We made it through the bad weather with no problems
That's great news. I'm glad you and yours made it through in good shape.

I haven't heard from my brothers in Daytona Beach and Palm Coast yet. I know they were getting the backside of the storm really bad today in the Volusia/Flagler/Brevard area Sunday afternoon. Several tornado warnings popped up. I hope to hear from them in the morning. I hope you guys get to play this week. Volusia has a law suspending recreational activities while in a state of emergency. My nephew's pop warner games have been cancelled left and right this year. He's pretty ticked off about it. His team was 14-0 last year.
