Two things to sum up the entire first half imo:

1. Tackling in space is still a serious issue for this defense

2. Braxton Miller should never be put on a leash. Let him play and good things always happen.

Second half, come out go down put 7 on the board and keep the pedal down.

Can someone explain the 10 seconds off the clock helmet rule? How does someones helmet coming off translate to 10 seconds off the clock in the 2nd or 4th quarter?

Also, what are they chanting on kick offs while the ball is in the air?

I'm sorry, no more keeping Miller from running the ball. The dude is pure electric, and it seems it boosts his confidence in the passing game when he's allowed to run.

I'm all for limiting his carries to 12-15, but yeah, you can't spend an entire half and only give him 2 designed rushes. I think it really hampers his whole game because it doesn't allow him to play like he wants to play. Yes, he needs to develop into a pass first QB, but that will come in time, not in one half of football against UAB.

Hopefully they can come out, keep up the momentum, and he'll get 5-6 rushes in the 3rd quarter.

FIFY.

Edit: I'd also say Jordan seems to have shaken off some of the rust.

In related news, the B1G still turning in some shocking performances. Iowa is down 23-14 to Central Michigan at the half. They were shutdown in the second quarter. Wisconsin woke up about the same time Ohio State did and is ahead 23-9 at the half.

No, he really doesn't. I agree with everything in this post, but the bolded part. Braxton will never be a pass first QB (which isn't a bad thing), not with the ability he has to run the ball.
