U.S. Men's National Soccer (Official Thread)

LD got a bit of a raw deal, but I think the public outcry made that situation worse than what it should have been.
At least people were finally paying attention. No idea what it will finally take to make the U.S. team really good but it can't hurt when people are passionate and voice their pleasure/displeasure about the team.

When you look at what Chile did to Mexico then watch this mismatch the gap between CONMEBOL and CONCACAF is glaring.
CONMEBOL has the #1 (ARG), 3 (COL), 5 (CHI), 7 (BRA), 9 (URU), and 13 (ECU) ranked teams in the world. CONCACAF's top team is Mexico at 16. The talent disparity is nothing new between these two soccer federations.

I think the fact that the US has elite talent in 4 major sports (not including soccer) is stunting its ability to grow. The exposure is growing, though.
