U.S. Men's National Soccer (Official Thread)

The midfield felt non existent with the two striker formation. Would much rather see one striker and work the ball through the midfield. Unfortunately, our biggest weakness with this current roster is the severe lack of a true attacking midfielder so it’s tough to pull off the 4-2-3-1. Maybe a more defensive 4-3-3 would provide some goals, with two CM’s and an anchor at CDM. Let Busio and whoever else starts at CM be the facilitator through the middle and try to find the open space.

Hope Zimmerman is ok. He’s played really well so far at CB.

Hopefully Dike doesn’t have a clavicle injury too

I get so many Ricardo Clark 2010 vibes from Accosta. Turnovers and reckless tackling.

of course then he almost rips a Benny Feilhaber from 23 yards out.

last 5 minutes have been ugly

Surprisingly, despite his first challenge being an uncalled foul, he’s settled in quite nicely defending Jamaica’s counters. His passing still leaves a lot to be desired. But, IMO, Arriola’s been the weakest link tonight.
