Awe fuck yeah! I loved that show!

Gregory Hines had the plant that wrote t.v. shows, Kevin Costner was the pilot with the plane with the animated landing gear. Awesome show. My favorite episode was the meteorite that magnetized the highschool kid.

My favorites: a man who made robots that could pitch. Asshole put them on the Dodgers at a time when their one - two consisted of Drysdale an Koufax, insead of the Reds who really needed the pitching... so like what else is new?

And one which opens with guy driving a Jag roadster on a country road, tweed jacket, ivy league cap, ascot and driving gloves. Hot, hot, hot girl riding along in the passenger seat. Gets stuck behind hay truck, drops it down into second, floors it and just then you see a big semi appear in the left lane. Next scene is hell and the guy is sitting there while this couple, fat, balding guy in Hawaiian shirt, and his doughy wife in rocking chair and they're flashing their slides of Hawaii on the wall, endlessly...Serling somes on and says something like, "hell can be many things, depending on who you are."

Amazing Stories popped into my head last night - not sure why. That show was awesome and had a seemingly endless supply of material (from the old comics). I just wish it had lasted longer. Maybe I'll look into renting the DVDs for old time's sake.

They was a really good series back in the day called China Beach. Does anybody remember that?? I loved the song that came on in the intro, too!!

The real nurses and Donut Dollies were never as cute as the ones on China Beach-- but they were wonderful people. Never lost track of the fact that I had to be there, they volunteered. Brave women who never got full credit for what they did. The GIs tried to hit on them all the time while they were in country and they often took a full ration of shit when returning home.

Guess this belongs in another thread, but, yeah, China Beach.
