Massachusets, New York, New Jersey, and Maryland are division footprint -- and there's good talent there.
Wisconsin is getting their RBs from NJ.
It's not where he's recruiting, so much as who. Seems to me, he's tried to recruit Ohio and Michigan... but he loses the head to heads to us and ND.
I was a little worried he might strike gold and land some really good classes based off media hype in those first 2 years... and, he did have 1 legitimately good class in terms of paper rankings.
Arguably, he's put Dantonio back in their spot (or just as likely, Narduzzi leaving has). Took a couple years, but MSU seems to be on a trajectory towards a middling program that gives people games but lingers on the edge of Top25.
This is my selling point for those scUM faithful who want to fire Harbaugh... "He can beat Dantonio. Do you want to fire your savior Michigan Man and start losing to Dantonio again? Either way you're not beating us."

That’s horseshit. Harbrau was a spittle-flinging lunatic the whole time he was with the Niners. He was manic his first 2 years up north. Something happened inside that trapezoidal head of his after the Game 2016. Either he fried himself and the synapses are just firing differently now, or tsun told him to settle the fuck down and started dosing his whole milk. Maybe it is head injury related early onset dementia. The Harbrau of today, in September 2019, is not the same guy he was in Palo Alto in 2010 or San Francisco in 2012. Not even close.

The evolution from “Harbaugh will hand pick any top recruits” to “Recruiting rankings don’t matter those are Harbaugh guys he knows talent” to now entering the stage where some of them are starting to realize what a sham he is and top kids just don’t want to play for him is pretty damn hilarious
