In a perfect world you would have TSUN's coach bring them to - uh - almost respectability - a program with a winning record that never wins The Game or the Conference Championship.

What you want is a Skunkbear Mark Richt. Someone who will stay around for a long time who never gets them over the hump, who they can't really fire because they achieve a measure of success and thus never upgrade, but one who produces on-field product not putrid enough to ruin your strength of schedule or playoff chances, all while being your annual bitch in The Game. God, we were sad when they finally fired Richt.

Wrong, we are approaching a perfect world! One where scUM is a national laughing stock, and OSU gets to stomp on their souls to end the season. I'm hoping it gets to a point where we beat them in The Game, for them to go winless in a season and they have to continually watch us win the B1G, and go to the CFP. I want respect and scUM to never be uttered in the same sentence. I don't want a Richt who enters rivalry games with confidence, I want a demoralized Hairball who knows that he's going to get owned, and have to take for 3+hrs, as he watches his team get 40+pts dropped on them yearly! SOS be damned to me, I want to wipe the smugness off that fanbases faces. I started rooting for tOSU in the early 90s and saw some great OSU teams get curb stomped by average scUM teams. I've seen the countless smug scUM fans constantly remind me about the Cooper years and being the winningest program in CFB. I've seen them get arrogant again when Hairball was hired, and think it was cute to refer to OSU as "Ohio". My perfect game is a 100-0 OSU win in the game where they go 0-12 for the season and we in turn win the B1G and the CFP

Offensive Line: F
The return of starting left tackle Jon Runyan Jr. was supposed to make the offensive line better than it has been this season. His return actually made the line worse and took a huge step back. Multiple times every quarterback was faced with pressure and had little to no time to throw a pass. When they did have time, either nobody was open or they had to take a deep shot to get something going.

Run blocking wasn’t helpful either as nobody in the backfield could produce any kind of yardage as it was hard for them to move forward without hitting multiple bodies. With the run blocking being ineffective, it forced the team to do more passing plays, which the blocking wasn’t great in that department either. This offensive line needs to get fixed ASAP or this “best offensive line Michigan has had in years” is a straight-up lie.
Wasn't Ed Warriner the guru of OLs?

Linebacker: D

Behind the defensive line were the linebackers who weren’t able to stop Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor, who ran 23 times for 203 yards and two touchdowns. The linebackers, along with the defensive line, couldn’t do anything to contain Taylor as he was finding holes left and right, led by fullbacks and offensive lineman.

Khaleke Hudson led the team in tackles with 14 and he was the only defender to get a sack on Coan. Cam McGrone made a touchdown-saving tackle on Coan before another Badger punched it in on the next play. Jordan Glasgow had seven tackles but was involved multiple times.
Don Brown and his vaunted defense, more specifically his LBs, and they played like hot garbage on a cold day!

Defensive Line: D-
Talk about a complete opposite when it comes to the Michigan defensive line. While Wisconsin’s was creating havoc for the Wolverines offense, Wisconsin’s offensive line was at ease with the Wolverines defensive line. Quarterback Jack Coan went 13/16 for 128 yards as he was rarely pressured enough to get sacked.

Starting defensive end Aidan Hutchinson led the group in tackles with nine and a pass deflection. Opposite starting defensive end Kwity Paye only had three tackles, one for a loss.
And the name brand of scUM, the best DL coach option they could get was a guy who's biggest job opportunity as Arizona St. And he was there for only 1 year!

If I were a beat writer in Ann Arbor I would want to ask Harbaugh two questions.

1. Could you please expound upon "Who has it better than us, Why they have it, and How they got it"?

2. Given that the monetary value of a full ride to Michigan is approximately $29,000 and you are making roughly 280 times that amount, are you still cashing the checks? And if so, is that why nobody has it better than you?

I can relate. But what if their suckitude keep you out of the playoffs by a thousandth of a point by devaluing the conference to PAC-12 levels? What if they start showing The Game versus an 0-10 Michigan program at 11:00 am on ESPN2 - because it is seen as tOSU playing Central Michigan? Shit, UT-FLA used to be the annual nationally televised 'must see' SEC East game. CBS won't touch us now. And what if that suckitude somehow leads them to, finally, hiring a competent replacement? They just might eventually find a decent coach. I mean, they have the infinite typing monkey odds and all.

I used to want Georgia to lose every game. But I came to see that would diminish my joy slightly when we beat them. My enjoyment beating an undefeated Georgia (and keeping them out of the national play-off scene) was far greater than I felt when beating a many loss Mutt program in TWLOCP. Both are satisfying and wonderful events. But feeling their pain by ruining their perfect season in 2002 was like - well - like The Game in 2006 for you. That had to feel better than beating a hypothetical 0-10 scUM. Like, stomp and crush their very souls feel better.

You can't get that extra joy from tasting their sad, salty, formerly undefeated tears if they are an unranked joke of a program. It's like Andre and Dom Perignon.

You may be on to something. Perhaps they DID drop the program - but they only announced this internally. You need football to have an athletic budget, so UM needs football to fund their baseball program.

Harbaugh isn't making $7.5 mil - he is making $75K and was confused by the decimal point.

Can't believe I missed this one yesterday.

I recall bitching about this pretty incessantly under Bollman, but a major problem with relying heavily on play action passes is it cuts off the first few seconds of time the QB has to scan the field so that it’s difficult for them to notice things like the CB just falling down at the beginning of the play. Also....

I’m not even sure if that was a play action pass, but it felt like it.

Media financial involvement with certain conferences has a lot more to do with who gets an invite to the media's tournament than 1/1000th of a point precision about who the four best teams really are.

UF isn't OSU. As long as OSU takes care of business no amount of failure from the rest of the B1G, including tsun, diminishes the brand.
