Go back to 2004 - when Xichigan just won or shared 3 of the last 4 conference championships - and tell yourself that Xichigan would have just as many Big Ten Conference championship game APPEARANCES as Rutgers, Maryland, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, and Northwestern. Would you believe yourself?
You are looking at it all wrong. Desmond would tell you that they have as many appearances as Rutgers, Maryland, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, and Northwestern combined.

Wisconsin is a legit pick. tsun and ped are not.

It's as if it hasn't occurred to anyone that Michigan's offensive staff is suspect and its schedule is brutal. As for PSU, Barkley, Gesicki, and some WRs are gone and the jury's out on their offensive coaching with Moorhead gone but the pundits just don't seem to care. Sparty, on the other hand, returns 19 starters from a 10-win team, should be 3-0 in the non-conference schedule, gets OSU and UM at home (PSU and Corn on the road) and are largely being ignored.

Here's my pick.

East
THEE (rolls into Indy 11-1 and top 5 in the country)
Sparty
Ped
SimpLLLLe Jim
Aqua Velva (have I mentioned that I love those crazy bastards)
IU/Purdue (which one is in our division again?)
Maryland

West
Cheese (rolls into Indy undefeated and top 2 in the country)
Corn
Hockey
Smart, Rich Kids (not nerds; nerds are at the school on the south end of town)
Coach of The Year
IU/Purdue (which one in is in their division again?)
Illosers

Ideal scenario for the first 4 weeks.

scUM loses a ugly slop fest to Notre Dame. Patterson blows chunks.

Patterson re-ignites September Heisman against WMU and SMU....scUM fans stroke him to no end dismissing ND game as a "fluke"

Scott Frost rolls into scUM for his first B1G game and delivers soul crushing loss for scUM (Where Patterson blows chunks again)

And Harbaugh will bolt to the NFL. He has about 70 million reasons to stay, but his ego can not take the beatings. Given their schedule, this season could very well end up like this for them. I'll actually be rooting for the Domers for once.

But does anyone in the NFL want him now?
Given his "quirkiness" in SanFran... the way they kicked him out despite going to the Super Bowl... that same behavior resurfacing in Ann Arbor... he's failed to do anything in College... proven to just be a beneficiary of Luck rather than the other way around... does anyone in the NFL want him ?

The first is a meteor game... but I suppose it's best for the conference if they win.
Would like to see Frost ruin their month after all the hype that would follow if they get a dodgy Notre Dame victory.

It's a lot more fun to watch them think they're elite ... only to be reminded of the harsh reality.

You think too highly of NFL teams. Plenty of owners would roll the dice.

So.... This Patterson fella... all the talking heads/writers keep warning me "he's the real deal" and all this...

He was not good against good teams in his time at Ole Miss. Right?
He just joined a team which, despite having recruited some pretty decent HS talent for the QB room, has wholly failed to develop a single one of those former 5 star QBs
He just joined a team which has had bad offensive production
He just joined a team where the QB play has been worse year after year

Sorry, but that doesn't read like poking a bear or waking a sleeping giant. Reads like "more of the same" to me.

These piss and blue motherfuckers haven't done shit to earn any sort of "blue blood" rep since about 1920. Fuck them.

Was at a lax event with the kid recently and ran into a Rut alum. I asked him what they yell during third downs. He sheepishly said, ‘something Penn State.’ I looked at him and said, ‘umm, that’s FUCK Penn State!’

He chuckled, and said, ‘yeah, Fuck Penn State!’

He made a fan out of me.
