and has none of the upside of OKorn or Morris.
Losing your starting quarterback when you return as much talent at the skill positions as Michigan does would normally cause some grumbles that all the pieces aren't put together. However, watching the progression of Jake Rudock last year is a clear indicator that this staff will get production out of the quarterback position every season. Every quarterback on the team's roster (outside of Peters) is going through their second season under the Harbaugh staff and you can see tangible progression, even in as vanilla a setting as the spring game is schematically.
Because they return so much talent at running back, wide receiver and tight end (not to mention up front), the onus will be on not turning the ball over and making the right play, not necessarily the big play. This is common sense, but when you combine that talent with what Michigan has on defense this season and a schematic (coaching) advantage in almost every situation, there isn't a better scenario for a first-year starter to walk into.
Last time I checked Kyle Kalis is still one of their five best offensive linemen as well.
I heard for the 4th year in a row it's finally "clicking." You'll see.
The problem is he has nothing besides upside.*blinks*
well, thats a sentence i didn't think i would ever see.
I like how that writer mentions Speight taking the lead as though it's a good thing.
...as saying that Speight took the lead, but even so, that doesn't mean much. But there is still uncertainty lingering at the most important position on the field, even with Wilton Speight taking the lead in the quarterback derby.
so O'Korn is clearly the best QB and will be the starter but yet he couldn't separate himself from Speight all spring? Including Speight being the first QB picked by his teammates for the spring game?

Schematic advantage fellas. We are doomed.
BTW scUM is 7th worst in CFB on that list with a massive -74 1/2 and that is AFTER a +14 last year.
